What's the greek myth Behind Mount Tamalpais(the sleeping lady)? - ladies in mount
I've heard of the Greek mythology behind Mount Tamalpais (in Northern California, USA) in the 7th Class. He was a god who fell inlove with a man and tried to take him to heaven, but he stumbled and fell on her. I want the story and the names of the gods and so on. Me, makes a report in school.

The nickname is associated with the apocryphal story of a Native American "Sleeping Lady". The wife of sleep, sometimes in conjunction with Iztaccihuatl.
In Aztec mythology Iztaccihuatl was a princess who fell in love with one of the warriors of his father. Her father sent her lover to war in Oaxaca, promising him his daughter in marriage if he (his father is not Iztaccíhuatl). Iztaccíhuatl told his lover had died and she died of grief. As the warriors return, which in turn died of grief after the loss. The gods are covered with snow and transformed them into the mountains. Peak is similar to a "white woman" because she a woman was sleeping on his back, and it is often with snow. (The Act is recorded sometimes jokingly referred to as the sleeping woman (the woman who sleeps ").) He became the volcano Popocatépetl, raining fire on the land of the blind rage at the loss of his beloved.
